Dr. Matt McBride, O.D., a compassionate eye care professional, is committed to comprehensive patient care. Currently available to see patients Monday through Friday, Dr. Matt hails from the small town of McKenzie, TN. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Cell and Molecular Biology degree before earning his doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis.
During his optometry school journey, Dr. Matt completed clinical externships at Ducklo Eye Care in Nashville and Southeast Eye Specialists in Knoxville. He gained extensive experience managing various eye conditions, including glaucoma, retinal pathology, contact lens, and pediatric eye care. His dedication to excellence earned him multiple clinical honors distinctions throughout his time in optometry school.
Post-graduation, Dr. Matt continued to enhance his expertise by completing a residency in ocular disease and hospital-based eye care at the Memphis VA Medical Center. His specific areas of interest encompass glaucoma care and retinal diseases such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
